Granada, Spain - Nathan Winder

One thing I noticed immediately as I arrived in Granada, is that it is a city of layers. It starts at the street level, with students, cheerful vagrants, tourists, and the everyday residents. Next come the houses and buildings that form a mixture of Moorish, gothic, Baroque, 19th Century, and modern architecture. Above all that is the magnificent Alhambra fortress and palace watching over the city. Yet higher still are the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains topping off the amazing setting.
