Gibraltar - Nathan Winder

It was no joke, the sun was shining in Spain, but gray clouds hung over the great rock of Gibraltar as if it were their English duty to shelter the enclave in British weather. I only had a few hours here, but made the best of it. Lunch with a wrap on a bench in the old naval cemetery, a tram ride up the rock to where the monkeys live, exploring the windy ridgeline, amusement with the macaques, caves and forts and castles and tunnels, and then I was down in the city again for some steak & ale pie with mash and then back to Spain for the onward bus ride.

Gibraltar is indeed an oddity of geography and history but hey, they have monkeys.
